In reference to my post about (#112) and Patchou's post from page 2 (#26): I was about to get the payment to process without the tax line ('paypal_usa_total_tax') being commented out. Is that because that tax item has since been fixed? I created a test cart and had the item ship to my state (Texas) which has a state tax rule applied. The correct tax was applied (bringing my $2 item up to $2.17) and the transaction was processed correctly. Sooo no complaints but I just want to make sure that there won't be some hiccup later on because I didn't comment out that tax line. Thanks, Chetan

Hi bellini, thanks for the response. I went into my PayPal settings, enabled IPN, and set this: http://www.dfwcomposites.com/modules/paypalusa/controllers/front/validation.php?pps=1 as the notification URL. Tried to complete an order again, but the same thing happened. Paypal processed the transaction, but didn't notify PS and nothing appears in my BO. Also, the payment module reloads and looks like this still (attached image). EDIT: also just tried using the above url, but replacing http with https; didn't work EDIT 2: Also just tried all of the fixes suggested by user "Patchou" in post number 26. I was hopeful since my cart was calculating tax on my orders, but after commenting out the suggested line in the paypalusa.php module, I didn't have any luck. Updating the IPN response URL to the suggested URL with the tax line commented out in the module didn't work either. I'm very much at a loss of what to do. Considering buying the presto changeo PayPal advanced module - do you guys recommend it? It doesn't have this problem does it? EDIT 3: FIXED! I used user "Coolpages" idea in post number 43. Went to my manager.paypal.com settings, switched everything he suggested, and went ahead with the transaction. After I hit send ont he paypal module and it did its things, the module's hook reloaded the a blank grey block and things looked even worse, but then 2 seconds later the whole screen refreshed into an order confirmation page. order also shows up in my BO. Please note that I have everything configured as suggested in post 43 in my manager account, but then I also have IPN enabled in my paypal.com business account, with the forwarding address set to "http://www.[mystore].com/index.php?fc=module&module=PayPalUSA&controller=Validation&pps=1" I don't know if the later part is necessary but it's working atm so I'm going to leave it until I play around with it a bit more later tonight. I also haven't figured out whether or not the tax thing mentioned in post 26 is an issue. I disabled my taxation schedule so I cant check it but will later tonight... for now... I'm off to work Thanks everyone, really glad the PS has such a hardworking community behind it Chetan

So I'm experiencing this problem (Paypal USA 1.3.8 module using PayPal Advanced), I can 'send' my CC info in the paypal module, it'll process, and then that hook/module will reload into something random while the rest of my checkout page won't change and will act as if nothing has happened. The payment goes through, and I can see the funds in my PayPal account, but no order is created in my prestashop BO and to the customer it appears as if the order hasn't gone through since it hangs on the checkout page. These fixes all completely go above my head, so I'm considering just buying the Presto Changeo PayPal module for a hundred bucks. Does it experience any of these errors? Will it work everytime? Does anyone have any experience with it? Thanks

I just set up an account with PayPal using their Payments Advanced account (so I pay $5 dollars a month instead of $25), but the checkout occurs on my website/domain (not on paypal's). This is a new setup so everything so far has been a test. I created a 2 dollar item and ran it through my one page checkout, and after entering my credit card info into PayPal's dialogue boxes, I hit pay and it makes a processing icon. Finally, the area on the page in which the module sits reloads, but the rest of the checkout page doesn't. The payment module is fully gone, and that reloaded area appears to be a portion of my website's homepage. In my back office, no order appears (although a new customer account does if I elected to create one). HOWEVER, when I look at my paypal account, the correct amount of money shows up in the account (after checking my bank account it appears as if my cc was charged correctly as well). so the payment went through, it just didn't register on my website at all. Is this the problem that will be fixed when PayPal redoes their end of the problem? Will my customer's checkout page reload correctly once it receives a response from PayPal that the payment transaction completed successfully? PS 1.6.0.5 PayPal 1.3.8 Thanks! Chetan edit: to make it more confusing, the PayPal 'HSS' service apparently isn't available in the US, which is where I'm located. However, does the problem with my website replicate what other people's HSS error is doing to their checkout?

1 Click upgrade does not work
DFWcomposites replied to zuul's topic in Upgrading PrestaShop from a previous version
I'm having the same issue, I can't find the required 1.1.7, the addons page is serving 1.1.3 even though the page is listed as serving 1.1.7. Anyone know where to find the real deal so I can upgrade? My stripe module has stopped working and I'm really hoping this upgrade will fix it! Thanks -
1-click upgrade module dont update to 1.1.7
DFWcomposites replied to b22c's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Your stripe module stopped working, or you're getting the 1.1.3 served to you by the addons page? Stripe is not very helpful with regards to getting the OFFICIAL BY STRIPE!!! module working for Prestashop. They are trying to get me to contact prestashop to get it fixed. Every SSL 'checker' I've used online shows green lights all the way around regarding SSL security and setup -
1-click upgrade module dont update to 1.1.7
DFWcomposites replied to b22c's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
I see that they updated the module download page on the addons website just yesterday (9/19), I guess they messed something up with that? Mods, any info on this? I'm doing the upgrade solely because my Stripe payment module stopped working and I'm really hoping 1.5.5 fixes it ! -

Running into the same problem. When I download the stand alone 1 click update module from the prestashop addons website, the downloaded file's name is 1.1.3, even though the page says the version you should be downloading is 1.1.7....ohhhhhh prestashop ;p -
Google+ "Link Your Website" What am I doing wrong?
DFWcomposites replied to DFWcomposites's topic in Online sales and SEO
I think I eventually just installed and activated the google analytics module that comes as a default installed module and that took care of the situation. webmaster tools and google analytics recognized me gaccount as being the owner of the website once I configured those things Chetan -
AWESOME! Thank you so much. Don't know why I had so much trouble searching for a solution to this but I'm glad I asked in the forum. One more quick question for you since I'm sure you know. When I'm manually editing .tpl files in notepad, and I want to 'comment out' a section, what is the exact syntax? Again, thanks Smart Data! I'm adding tags to my first post for future reference

So currently, on preferences>products I have the radio button for "Redirect after adding product to cart" set to "cart summary" as opposed to "previous page". In a comment the back office says "Only for non-AJAX versions of the cart"; not too sure what that means. I have mostly default settings, however I do have a theme installed ("Dilecta"), does that have a say on whether I'm using AJAX or not? I'm not seeing anything relating verbatim to the options you listed: "ajax enable cart or send user to cart page", but maybe we're talking about the same setting? Am I missing something? Thanks for your input! -Chetan

Hi! Is there anyway to get prestashop to forward the user directly to the checkout/shopping cart view page upon adding an item to a cart? my shop currently only sells 4 items, and each is unique in that if you buy one you're not going to buy another, so having a customer click 'add to cart' and then have to manually scroll to the top and then route themselves to the checkout system is rather cumbersome. Any easy way to do this? thanks! Chetan www.dfwcomposites.com

Google+ "Link Your Website" What am I doing wrong?
DFWcomposites replied to DFWcomposites's topic in Online sales and SEO
Hmmm, tried that line of code out (with "{+pageID}" replaced with that appropriate number) and I'm still getting "Check that the line of code was added to your site's homepage and that the modified homepage is live on your site. Then try testing again." Attached an image of what it's asking me to do. thanks for the help so far brotha -
Google+ "Link Your Website" What am I doing wrong?
DFWcomposites replied to DFWcomposites's topic in Online sales and SEO
It's not for advertising on my website, it's to prove to google that the person running my "DFWcomposites" google+ page actually has authority over the website DFWcomposites.com ....at least I think that's why they're asking me to do it? I feel like this should be a pretty common problem so I was very surprised to turn up clueless after about 20 minutes of searching. Is the header.tpl I'm adding this to the correct one, or is there maybe on in another path? I feel like it's the correct one since I see the google+ test at the top of my website right now.
