I know this is an old thread, but I have spent hours searching everywhere. I have tried using the VAT number module in a 1.7.8.11 PrestaShop multistore, I cannot get it to work on a shop I'm setting up for a client.
Danish VAT is 25%, and the tax rule is applied to all products in both shops.
Shop 1 is a b2c shop
Shop 2 is a b2b shop. Some countries are shared between the b2c and b2b shops.
In shop 2 I have installed the VAT module and set Denmark as the default country. B2B customers in Denmark must still pay VAT. All other countries should not pay VAT if there is a VAT-number entered (the verification of this is a manual process which is fine).
No matter what I try, I still see VAT calculated in the cart. The products are fine on product lists, product pages etc. But the summery is just as important, as it makes no sense for an EU-customer that VAT is calculated in the shopping cart + it is displayed on the invoice etc.
How have you managed to get this to work???
