hi Presta-peeps, Does anyone know how to customize the Back Office in PS 1.6 ??? Specifically, my shipper is asking to make the fonts black not grey, and change from 12px to 14px for easier visibility. Seems simple enough but I cannot find how to fix... been hunting and testing css changes but nothing seems to work. Thanks, PT

We just created a promo to give a FREE GIFT with minimum $55 purchase. 1) So I made a Cart rule and it works fine until... 2) Gave the local School Board a 20% discount on all purchases (with a coupon code). Works fine until... So now, when I put $55 in my cart, I see the FREE gift automatically. When i go to check out and enter the Coupon Code, Prestashop applies an $11 discount, so the cart amount is only $44. But the FREE gift still shows up in the cart. This seems like a big mistake! Anyone know how to fix this? PS. there are some other interestingly weird and erroneous ways Prestashop is calculating multiple discounts, but I will make another post. If anyone knows about this, please point me to any solutions for all of this. Thanks!

Can anyone help? Bad page links all over google... I know it's an old version, but was thinking of moving to 1.6 but now I want to wait for 1.7 I recently turned off Friendly Url so that I could my PS homepage would be mydomain.com/index.php (a long story) But now my sitemap generation keeps creating product and category pages with the friendly URL's. And when I look at Product and Category pages in backend, the Friendly URL fields are still filled out. When I try to delete the contents of the friendly URl field and save the Product (or Category) I get the following message... The field friendly URL is required at least in English (English). This, of course, is a nightmare!!! 1. Is there a trick to turning off friendly URL's? 2. Do I need to do something with the Layered navigation Module? (as there is a "Build URL Index" button) 3. Do I need to go into my database and remove the friendly URL's or change some indicator on my Products and Categories? Any help, any clues would be much appreciated as my sitemap file is using the Friendly URL's, not the "unfriendly" ones... and of course my pages are ranking poorly and people are seeing the wrong pages and getting 404 errors Kinda sucks!!! Please help!

I have 2 website... one is a Prestashop site and the other is a Wordpress Blog site. I am creating a splash page to connect the 2 (as per Management's request) Prestashop site is www.MySite.com Wordpress site is on a Subdomain called blog.MySite.com Management wants me to change my live site to Shopping.MySite.com but we do not want to risk "blowing up" our live (and making good money) site. Seems the easiest thing to do is to create a subdomain for Shopping.MySite.com (pointing to www.MySite.com/index.php) and usw www.MySite.com for the Splash page. Problem is... We want Friendly URL's to remain turned on (looks better, links, and crawlers will still find the same pages) But "index" is being rewritten to the friendly URL instead of showing www.MySite.com/index.php UNder SEO's and URL's there is an "index page" but the URL rewritten field is greyed out, so I cannot change it. I deleted this "index page" reference. Turned Friendly URL's OFF and back ON, but it seems Prestashop automatically makes a Friendly URL for the index page. So (hopefully that all makes sense) can anyone tell me if (and how) to create a Firendly URL Exception in the .htaccess file (I assume that's where it should be)? Then current users who have our shopping site bookmarked (and crawlers) should land on our splash page. Then they can choose between our blog site and our shopping site. Monkeying around in the .htaccess file does not seem like a good idea, and I'm not even sure if that's the right thing to do. Can anyone help with this? Thank you!!!

Hi everyone, We have a successful site running 1.5.6.2 My plan is to... install 1.6.x.x onto my server in a sub-directory buy a theme and load into 1.6.x.x edit theme > get my store looking how I want it (using a test database) . . . Migrate entire database to the new install and then launch new site - or - Migrate customers and products (but not orders or carts) and then launch new site - or - Take a suggestion from some of the experts here => My goal is toi have as few problems and as little service interruption as possible. Also... Can anyone comment on whether I should wait for 1.7.x.x ??? And can anyone recommend a premium theme(s) that gives me maximum flexibility and control over the look of my site, is feature rich, while still performing well??? Thanks kindly!!!

Good news!!! David from Support Team has done a bang up job (as usual) and solved this issue for us!!!! from David.... The problem is in the 1.2 version of the module. In my local testing shop if I remove the folder and replace it with the 1.1 version that came with prestashop 1.5.6.2 it works fine. So I have done this for you for now. I have also contacted the dev team about 1.2 to find out what is going on with it. The 1.2 module does not work on my machine either. Can you test the stats page for your referrers now? Note: Do not upgrade the module or it will stop working!!! Thanks David!!!

2 days and 22 hours and Prestashop Support has not looked at the ticket yet. Keeping my fingers crossed for something soon. btw, I am using 1.5.6.2 as well (not sure why I said 1.5.6.1) i will post the solution as soon as I Support finds a solution.

I too now have this same problem using 1.5.6.1 Same versions for you too? Good news though. We have a service package and I have put in a ticket for Presta-Support to fix for me. I will share once I have the solution.

Ok checked the database. My ps_products table shows id_manufacturer from 1 to 73. The ones that I put "On Sale" are #73. Check your table. If they are all #1, make "Not on Sale" #1 then create the "On Sale" as #2 (or whatever the system generates) If they are all zero, then create #1 and change them to #1, then change the On Sale ones to #2 (or whatever the system generates) Good luck!

Seems I have 73 Manufacturers listed but they are all disabled except "On Sale" Starting to seem kinda strange that this works, but it does.

hi Yay, I checked further. Of course, it's a bit strange. When i look at the Manufacturers tab, i see a whole list of manufacturers. But when i go to a Product's Association Tab, the Manufacturer is blank. I created a new manufacturer called "On Sale" and select. My other products still have a blank for manufacturer. When i set up the cart rule, I add all the manufacturers for the condition and then remove the "On Sale" manufacturer. Then it works. Check to see if you have any Manufacturers on the Catalog > Manufacturers tab. If so, they should appear in the cart rules, and you can make this work. If not, maybe you will have to create them... my list of manufacturers simply corresponds to the Brand name of the product. I will keep investigating on my end, but it seems to have worked for the Cyber Monday Deal that I set up. Worst case, you will have to create a list of manufacturers (or maybe just the on sale and not on sale).

Hey Yay, I do not have manufacturers set and it works for me... I think it should work for you too. Not sure if version matters (I am using 1.5.6.2) Try it and see! Good luck.

Wow! Same nightmare problem, but i have found a workaround and I must share. I am using 1.5.6.2 I did not want to make a coding change. I tried everything, almost... Then I tried this and it works perfectly!!!. Presta-tricks!!! Create a new manufacturer called On Sale (or whatever you like) go to each Product that is on sale and go to the Associations tab change the Manufacturer to On Sale go to your cart rule that is providing a discount for all regular priced merchandise only go to Product Selection and add a rule concerning all manufacturers except the On Sale manufacturer under Actions choose to apply discount to all selected products So happy that this works. Please tell me if it does or does not work for you!!! Remember also to also uncombine the other cart rules if necessary. Cheers!
