  1. Hi Phil, It turns out the issue I was trying to fix didn't require a module upgrade so I never ended up having to resolve this problem. I did however eventually get a response from Prestashop support: You need to delete the paypal module from your host and first install backward compatibility and then the new version of paypal. I hope it works for you. Tom
  2. Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me because this issue is driving me mad! Over the past month my client is receiving payment notifications through PayPal for completed orders, however in the Prestashop admin the orders aren't visibile. The only way to find them is to go via the customer profile page where the order will be listed as in-valid. We are being notified of the error through the module error reporting: A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report: PayPal response: TIMESTAMP -> 2013-04-25T21:00:04Z L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10415 L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Transaction refused because of an invalid argument. See additional error messages for details. L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> A successful transaction has already been completed for this token. L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error This isn't happening for all PayPal transactions, just about 20%. After going through Google and these forums it is evident that a lot of people are having this problem but there doesn't appear to be a definitive solution to it. Some people have mentioned it could be to do with the 'Swift_Message_MimeException' error as highlighted here. I've only just discovered that post this evening so will be giving it a try. If anyone has any additional information I would be very grateful for some help as this issue has dragged on for a very long time! Please refer to my previous post as to why I can't upgrade the PayPal module to the latest version: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/245502-backward-compatibility-issue/page__hl__10415__fromsearch__1 Thanks, Tom
  3. Hi, I have tried to upgrade the PayPal module from version 2.8.5 to 3.4.9 on Prestashop version 1.4.2.5. After installing the module I was advised that in order for the module to work correctly I needed to install the backward compatibility module (version 0.4.5). After doing this the module page would not load and I get the following PHP error: Cannot redeclare class BackwardCompatibility in /Sites/xxxxx.com/source/trunk/modules/backwardcompatibility/backwardcompatibility.php on line 162 I was trying to upgrade the module to fix and issue related to PayPal error 10415. My client recevied an email from the module advising them that there was a transaction error however the customer was charged and the order is in the database but not visible in the admin. After reading various posts in forums I concluded that I needed to upgrade the module. Here is one example: http://forge.prestas...owse/PSCFI-4975 I would really be grateful of any help or advice that would enable me to upgrade the module. Thanks in advnace. Tom

  5. Hi CB, I have exactly the same problem. I'm trying to upgrade to PayPal 3.4.9 on Prestashop 1.4.2.5 using Backward Compatibility version 0.4.5. Did you have any luck fixing the issue? Thanks, Tom
  6. Hi, In the past we installed a module onto our Prestashop site to be able to offer gifts on order. The module is: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/merchandizing-prestashop-modules/442-gift-on-order.html The module allows us to offer gifts to customers who add certain products or product combinations to the cart. Some examples are: Buy x product get x gift free. Spend x amount on x brand and get this free gift. etc The offer we have run that has flagged up an issue with the module is as follows: Buy any product from x brand and get your choice of gift (from 3 options). The issue is that if a customer adds more than one of the brands products to their cart it activates the free gift option but they have to choose a single gift and receive multiples of it. Instead customers understandably want to be able to choose one of each gift if they have bought three products instead of receiving 3 of the same thing. Has anyone had the same requirement that I have and if so how did you get around it? Are there alternative modules I could possibly use? I'm currently unable to find a solution that doesn't involve re-coding the module we currently use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tom
