Hi I'm using prestashop 1.6.1.9 and just this week I've been unable to login to the admin section. After entering my email and password, after a long wait I get the following message. "The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." followed by a random row on numbers and letters. Can anyone off any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi. I've just noticed that adding {$cart_qties} to the blockpcart.tpl file works but ONLY when the page is reloaded after adding a product to the cart. Is there a way of making it update instantly? It seems to update immediately after removing the product from the cart ok. Many thanks

Hi, I'm using a theme called Griffon Shop in prestashop 1.6 which has a shopping cart icon in the header. I would like it to display a digit next to the icon which shows the number of items currently in the cart. From what I can tell, the default prestashop theme already does this and have found that adding {$cart_qties} somewhere will do the trick. However, I donn't know where I need to add it. I would be really grateful if someone could advise. Many thanks!

Most of my products have size/colour combinations. The problem I have discovered is on the backend when I want to check stock quantities. Under Catalog > Products i get the display of my products with the quantity column which only shows the total number each product combining all of its combinations. How can I quickly see if any particular combination is running low or is out of stock without having to click on each product to check quantities? For example: I have a shirt as a product with the following combinations: colour:red, size:small, stock quantity: 10 colour:red, size:medium, stock quantity 0 When I check under Catalog > Products it lists that product as having a stock quantity of 10. In order to see the out of stock combination I have to edit the product and look in "quantities". That's a pain! I would really appreciate any help and advice. Many many thanks

Great news. I thought it was something wrong at my end. Seems to be working now so they must have fixed it. Thanks for your help.

Hi. For some unknown reason I'm getting this error again but only when I try to pay by credit card. Paying by PayPal is fine. Does anyone else have thing issue? Any solution ? Thanks
-
It's obviously a known problem. My site had been working fine before Christmas so I'm not sure why it has suddenly happened. I called PayPal customer support first and when I mentioned the error she told me their engineers were working on it. She also told me to change to GB in the backend and the problem isn't just effecting Prestashop. PayPal tech support also gave me the same advice without hesitation. I don't know if it will help but you could try "GB" in uppercase.

Hi. I had this issue also. PayPal technical support told me it was a known issue which they are working to resolve. I was told it could be worked around quite easily. "The error is the variable "lc". This variable should contain the ISO code of the language you want to use for your checkout. As per paypal documentation (if you want to use English) you have to use "GB" and not "EN". I can ensure you that this little change is going to fix the error." In the localization>localization>advanced I changed the language from "en" to "gb". In the localization>languages I changed the iso code to "gb". It worked for me. Hope this helps.

Layered navigation - doesn't shows, hides all products
Mja388 replied to mdanis's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
I've had to revert to another hosting company (1&1) and am using 1.6.9. It's working ok but would have preferred to find a fix! Good luck and let me know what happens. -
I have just transferred my Prestashop 1.6 site over to a new server and now there is a problem with the products not appearing on the category pages. The don't appear on the product list page unless I disable the layered filter module. I wonder if you are able to offer any advise on how to fix?

Layered navigation - doesn't shows, hides all products
Mja388 replied to mdanis's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
I am having the same issue after moving my PS 1.6 site to a new server. If "Layered Navigation Module" is enabled then no products appear on my category page. As soo as I disable the module, the products appear as expected on the product list page within their categories. Any ideas how to fix this? -
Hi. I had the same problem. My site was in maintenance mode with my IP address added so I could view the site while it was disabled. I discovered that I was able to save and edit products ok after removing my IP address from the maintenance page. Hope this helps.
