Stripe official (SCA-ready) Module Problems
Statuesque replied to TillyOak's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
You set up Stripe receipts from your stripe dashboard directly. You can format the mails and add logo etc. The latest SCA allows you to turn off stripe e-mail receipts if required so that only your prestashop store sends its usual order receipt. If you use the older version of the SCA stripe module, there was an error where the stripe receipts were being sent to wrong customers e-mail addresses so make sure you use the latest version. -
Stripe official (SCA-ready) Module Problems

To be honest I simply ditched the free module. I needed to have faith in the module, it is after all the way you will take payments. Customers will not accept being charged twice unless they are VERY understanding. We decided to use a paid mudule and from the moment we ditched the free one and started with the paid one we have had ZERO issues. The module we went to was Stripe Payment Pro by NTS which also allows for apple pay, google pay, Klarma etc as well as many others. for the sake of £54.99 you might as well get it and end the sleepless nights :) This was the module we went to : Stripe Payment Pro (SCA-ready) - PrestaShop Addons -
I have not seen one to be honest. I use the BestKit module and have done for about 5 years. The BestKit does the job but in the 5 years they have made no improvements at all to it and it's severely lacking in administration options. As it's the only one, I stick with it but would switch to a better one in a heartbeat. This module does everything you mentioned though.

Critical issue - wrong information to wrong customer

No, still does it randomly but it's maybe 1 in 500-1000 orders it happens on and it's easy to spot when it does. I am wondering though if the issue is linked to carts. Prestashop will every so often mess up the cart numbers so they do not match the order numbers and it requires a quick adjustment via going in to sql database. I wonder if the wrong customer name is maybe being caused by a customer taking another customers cart? Not sure it's possible but just a theory as I now check the cart number in the database auto increment every month or so and hardly see the name issue now. This was the correction I found for the cart issue. -
Stripe official (SCA-ready) Module Problems

I moved on to a different payment module called Stripe Payment Pro (SCA-ready) Module https://addons.prestashop.com/en/payment-card-wallet/17856-stripe-payment-pro-sca-ready.html Easy to install with a ton of extra features and payment options and absolutely ZERO problems. I ultimately figured that the 202 module is free and you get what you pay for and receiving payments correctly for both me and the customers is important. I have had other 202 modules and all as bad as each other to be honest. Will not use 202 ever again for anything. -
Stripe official (SCA-ready) Module Problems

2.08 is a nightmare. Customer made a purchase on the 18th January for an item over £1k Today the module has sent a charge again as if customer made another payment for the same amount. I have been on the phone with Stripe for over an hour today and they confirm that the module itself generated over 400 errors with the initial payment on the 18th and it has by the looks of it, continued to process the payment despite it ultimately completing on the 18th. End result is the customer was charged £1089.99 today without even visiting the store. Details of the payment in the stripe dashboard today show the date as the 18th slthough payment made on 21st, confirming it's a duplicate of the already approved payment. Stripe are going to look deeper and contact me again via e-mail, if there's anything of use in their e-mail I will post here but not holding my breath. Issues started after upgrading from 1.5 to 2.08 SCA version. -
Critical issue - wrong information to wrong customer

Had this happen twice recently. The only reason it was spotted is that both times, the address has the name of the wrong customer included so it's easy to spot. I am expecting that the fix will be added as a purchasable module by prestashop as any form of utility nowadays for this platform needs to be purchased. -
I have since had similar issues when updating other modules. Seems the very latest module updates are either a little buggy or do not play very well unless you have the most current prestashop. Mine is about 1.7.3.3 and I no longer update newly available module updates and had no issues since Awaiting softaculous to have the newest prestashop version for an easy update as the internal prestashop 1 click update is just a pile of trash

Prestashop 1.7.4 Dashboard stats stopped recording data
Statuesque replied to zarslandok's topic in General topics
Since updating to 1.7 it's never displayed online visitors for me. Have tried so many things to correct it as well as purchasing modules but no luck. If I understand correctly it has something to do with the 2 google related modules that used to exist with 1.6 but one of them vanished for 1.7 it's a known issue apparently but likely something we will have to pay for to correct with prestashops new ' charge for all removed features ' mentality with 1.7 -
Had the same issue, started 2 days ago. The problem for me was linked to the recent prestashop recently viewed products block that was updated. I disabled that module and problem was fixed.

I am using 1.7 and normally do indiviual discounts via cart rules/vouchers. As the number of products is now substantial it is taking a long time to do. Setting up a catalog price rule I spotted somethig that seems to be a bug or I am doing something wrong. When picking an item and setting up a percentage discount of 5.0 , the store price simply drops by 5% whether you choose including Tax or Excluding Tax in the price rule. I have tried cache clearing just in case but no difference at all. This of course makes a massive difference on prices if the discount includes or excludes the VAT Is there a known fix for this or is it a future fix or simply me being daft. I tried googling an answer and in these forums but nothing is showing up Thanks Edit: Tested with a fixed price amount and tax inc / excl does actually change the price on a fixed amount. Seems the percentage amount is glitched - just a warning for those that might be doing discounts based on % and are VAT registered etc

Faceted Search questions/problems

I am at a loss for sure now. After creating sub-cats a to z and placing the items in them accordingly and sorting them within the catagory - the main list is alphabetical. The catagory filter view though is not. I really cannot work out what order it is in. There doesn;t seem to be any settings that allow it to show it's contents in alphabetical order rather than the random nonsense it currently shows -

To keep this up to date in case others have a similar question To organise the menu alphabetically. Go to catagories and sort by the position. This then shows the cross arrow type icon so the subcat can be dragged and dropped in to the position you would like. In the old 1.6, the cross arrows would show up automatically without needing to do any sorting to get them to show up. Unfortunately there's no way to simply sort them via the arrows at the top and save them in that position. I now start the very long and slow process of manually dragging and dropping 500+ sub-cats in to the correct order Still not found a solution for the always displayed menu except to create an A-Z type menu on top bar of site so characters can be navigated to directly, bypassing the 500+ menu item listing. -
Hi I am having a bit of a headache with the faceted search settings. Issue 1. I have a catagory with hundreds of items in it [characters] but when viewing the page they are not in alphabetical order [see image]. I simply cannot see anywhere that would allow me display the list in alphabetical order. Looking at the list , it seems to show the items in their catagory number order although not exactly. I thought pagination settings would be the solution but that does not help. Sorting the catagories from the catagory menu also does not help. I can get around the problem by simply using the character name as a feature but I am unable to find out how to stop the facet search module from displaying it's own list of the characters. If I untick the main catagory then this affects my features on the menu. If I tick the main catagory again and simply untick the character submenus, nothing changes and the list stays the same, it continues to show the unticked characters on the list. If I turn submenu filtering on or off, nothing changes and it still shows the list of items. I have tried clearing cache but as the store is in maintenance currently I am not using cache anyway. What I ultimately want are the products [listed by character name] in alphabetical order or not showing at all and I will continue adding the character names as a feature instead. Facet 1 image is a small image of the unsorted menu as appearing on the page - quite useless really My directory would like like >Home >Characters >character name
