Need help and guidance on Custom Order and Add To Cart

Hello All,

I have created a simple module with a front controller, I display a custom application built using vuejs in this front controller. I would like to know a way i can add to cart from this front controller, and also include some custom json data into my order.

On how to add custom fields and information in Order model i did find some tutorials and stackoverflow questions which seems to be pretty straight forward which i would be trying I would like to know if there is any better way to do this.
