nikmagnus
I have just imported 100 products, and am using the position to determine how they come up on the product-list.The problem is, after import, the products position themselves seemingly at random.Perhaps this was fine for the initial import, but I noticed this after the subsequent import, using the delete all products checked when importing. So I was faced with manual re-positioning 100 products. Try it for yourself. It's time consuming, and doesnt work seamlessly. Quite often the page re-loaded itself and my changes had disapeared. The easy way I found to do this was using phpMyAdmin.By locating ps_product_category, it shows you the position of each product in each category. This can be changed manually on mass. It was easy for me as the position I wanted was the same as the product ID, so ID = 1 was position =1, ID = 2 was position=1, etc.Dont make mistakes. Prestashop doesnt forgive mistakes made by phpMyAdmin.I stuffed it up once and paid the price.Hope you find this useful
Housy
Hello nikmagnus =)First of all thanks for sharing that with all of us.But what about product positioning for home featured module? Which table in the database should i modify then?I'm sure there must be some cool and easy module for product positioning. Thanks,Housy
