Add a list or grid view option

Hi ,

I am looking to add an option to the product list .

What i want is to be able to choose different views for the products , next to the sort by i want a button to say Grid view or List view so the customer has the option of how they can view my products

You will have Grid View, but not a option to select between. If it`s that what you want then edit your topic and add [sOLVED]

I need the same thing.
2 buttons on the page,one to display grid view and another to display list view.

Iv tried adding jquery to the product-list page.ive added the 2 necessary buttons,and it works..It switches the view correctly.
but the thing is that,i lose the view when i change page on the pagination.

I guess thats not the correct way to do it then..

no one ever needed that function? :S

Does it work on version 1.3.6? Or Any version 1.3.x?

Its the product-list.tpl that displays information about the products..

Can i know from where the information comes from?

i mean,from which php page?

I tried looking outside the theme directory to find product.php or something.
only to find this : require(dirname(__FILE__).'/config/config.inc.php');
ControllerFactory::getController('ProductController')->run();

Ive figured out that in this case,the files needed are category.tpl ( which includes product-list.tpl ) and category.php which in turns calls CategoryController.php for the php processing.

Hi thanks i could find the similar need for me also there should be two option links so that user can switch either to GRID view or LIST when he is viewing the products this makes lot of sense please if anyone has developed can share this it will be of great help
