fashionpup
Hi therehas anyone found a solution to make prestashop v1.4 load faster? It is so slow and I've received a complaint from a customer today! Thank goodness I called her or I would have lost the sale.
jhnstcks
Try reading through Rocky's performace guide http://www.nethercottconstructions.com/en/content/7-prestashop-performance-guide
h4r15
I am not sure if version 1.4 slower. After upgrading my shop needs ca. 3 sec only, before ( 1.3.1.1) it was until 7 sec for load the page. Link above is good for our knowledge. And from my experience, it isn't so easy to find a good hosting, i need to moved my site 3 times until i found the good one. Cheaper hosting is not always better. Also make sure to optimize or repair - if necessary - your database for faster load.
Caps, Coils and Speakers
You should set 'Force compile' to 'no' under the Preference/performance tab. This should drasticaly increase page loading speed.Rudy

It was just brutal. That one click made site 10x faster. Should almost be a pop up in package to point this outAgain, thanks
FireHawk
I have the new version of PS 1.4.3 I too have slow page loading issues. I have looked for the "Performance" section but it does not appear to have the choice. Any ideas?
Carl Favre
What do you mean you do not have the choice ? You cannot set "Force compile" to "No" ?
FireHawk
I cannot see the "force compile" anywhere in preferences or tools. I am on PS version 1.4.3, the latest one.
Carl Favre
It should be in Preferences > Performance. Do you see it ?
