How to get only "NEW" Products over Webservice

Dear Forum members, 

im wondering why on my api call for new products the tag "NEW" is always empty. Therefore no Filter to show only "NEW Products" available. Im working actually on an Android App, which should show new products on the landing activity.

On the page the new products are tagged with the "new badged", if i dump the "PRODUCT.PHP", the property "NEW[Bool]" is set.

Running on Prestashop 1.7.5.2 so far without big problems, even the API works great execpt of the described flag "NEW".

 

Any help would appreciated.
