PeterBarber
At one point PS was working fine. I built in some extra functionality using a few plugins and was very happy with my cart. But as time went by, more and more problems began to surface. Things which once worked no longer did. In researching these issues, I found that Prestashop needed to be upgraded. (I am running PS 1.6.0.13) HOWEVER, I also learned that if I did the upgrades, certain features and attributes I was using might no longer work. So here I was, caught in a Catch 22 situation. Do I upgrade to a new version and exchange one set of problems with a new (and potentially worse) set of problems, or do I simply try to find workarounds for the evil I know? I have been told that even my template would need to be replaced if I upgraded. I am SO TIRED of software companies that take something that works fine and then change it all around, forcing the rest of us to scramble to fix something that wasn't broken to begin with. Most of us have businesses to run, and we don't have time for this sort of nonsense. Is there ANY shopping cart solution which is an actual solution and not just yet another avenue to further frustration?
ecommerce16
why dont make a backup and upgrade to the latest 1.6 version. I am running 1.6 for 3,5 years almost without problems. Most problems are caused by third party modules. a 1.6 template should be compatible, only when you upgrade to 1.7 you probably have to change that.
