Prestashop 1.4 or Prestashop 1.3?

Recommended Posts

All you folks...Am a bit confused. Which 1 to choose?

First of all I am a newbie. Not a PROGRAMMER or DESIGNER.

Secondly, I require a lot of help from prestashop members.

My Questions :-

Which prestashop version is better for 10,000 products inventory?
Which prestashop version is user friendly?
Which Prestashop version is easier?
Which prestashop version has good support from prestashop members?

Please answer these questions

Hi,

Which prestashop version is better for 10,000 products inventory? 1.4
Which prestashop version is user friendly? 1.4
Which Prestashop version is easier? 1.3
Which prestashop version has good support from prestashop members? 1.3 but in some weeks 1.4 will be equal

;)

Last point: Think future, a 1.4 version will be more easier to upgrade than a 1.3 when your website will grow ! ;)

On a fresh install i would go with v1.4 everytime as I didnt have any problems installing a test version of this. Upgrading to 1.4 from 1.3 is a totally different situation and it is where most people are having problems.

Ok jhnstcks I undestand. I am definitely gonna install 1.4v but I need a DESIGNER for it. I need some1 with good CSS and GRAPHICS skills.

If you want to use the customization functionality where a customer can upload images or text as part of their order I would go with 1.3 unless you can wait a while as there are still a few key bugs in 1.4 to do with this that make it unsuitable. As soon as they are fixed I would migrate to 1.4. The migration difficulty really depends on how modified your theme is and if you use custom modules.
