Cannot log into Back Office after enabling SSL (Ooops)

The main page of the website is functional but I cannot log into the back office after I completed my upgrade then as I was looking through everything I enabled SSL and now when I go to log in I see:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to (mywebsite.com).

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)


Is there a way I can turn off SSL through phpmyadmin? I've found in"Configuration of PHPmyadmin it says: PS_SSL_ENABLED (Value is 0)

Any suggestions is helpful

I see the general population of us using PrestaShop are having the same problem with no fix, or either prestashop is not reading our posts. Is this just an issue related to the upgrade to the newest version?

I am having the same problem. Hope someone could shed some solution on this.

I finally got it working on my server. To get it working I had to put the prestashop store in a subdirectory and not a subdomain on my server. It weny from "store.mysite.com to mysite.com/store" That is the only way I could get ssl working.

My shop was originally installed in a subdirectory at www.mysite.com/prestashop

After I installed my ssl certificate on my server, I also enabled ssl in the back office. At that point I received the same exact error as you did.

Have you any luck getting back into your back office?
