STUCK....FOR 3 DAYS NOW....PLEASE HELP!

OK, can someone please help me!! I have emailed, searched, changed, restarted, reuploaded, deleted, everything. I cannot get help with this.

I get to step 3 system configuration. My database connects. I send an email to myself, I click next and it gives me the following message:

"A Prestashop database already exists, please drop it or change the prefix."

I changed the prefix several times to several different things, I deleted it all together, nothing with let me get passed this step.

I am not super computer savy. If someone can explain in simple basic terms to me, what do I do?

the prestashop person that emailed me back said to change or drop the prefix.....Which I did. didnt help.
He said something about deleting the database tables that I dont need them. I dont understand exactly what that means. Do I delete them all off of my database?

Go to your cPanel and click on "MySql". The databases are all there.

Perhaps you should create a new database before you "verify" on the installation.

Fill in the below.

Database name
Database user
Password

Make sure you grant access for the database user to the database name

Log in to your mysql DB administration panel using e..g phpMyAdmin, drop all the tables from prestashop database and the perform a new install.

thank you so much for your reply's. I have deleted the database several times and have deleted the tables over the last few days. Nothing is works. :-/ :-/

I really appreciate the help!! I will go ahead and try both again just incase.
If anyone has more suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!!
