Tab cannot be found in 1.4 BO

Recommended Posts

Hi all, after upgrading to 1.4 the Tabs Under Preferences-->Appearance is gone. Its just saying, "tabs cannot be found".
Also the frontpage of the BO, is saying "Tabs cannot be found".

Can anyone help me wioth that issue?

Also, the system is running VERY slowly after the upgrade.

Hope to hear from you.

Yes the problem is with the Table xxxx_tab. Please replace the AdminAppearance with AdminThemes in the xxx_tab table. U can use phpmyadmin to do it or feel free to send me the database login and i do it for you... older presta uses AdminAppearance as new prestashop uses AdminThemes but is not changed during Upgrade unless you Go Fresh Install

It works

Ok, If you have just upgraded then replace the administration Folder with a fresh new PS version administration folder. this will fix that problems especially the TABS folder in the Administration Folder.

Let me know how it advances..

cheers.

Hi, that works, but still I have the same problem as Rimom.

Are there more tables that should be renamed?

Thanks for any help we can get.

Best regards,
Mobimob

Am not sure whether you can the latter viersion of Prestashop_1.4.0.15 before the final version... just copy the index file in administration folder and replace the index.php in New version admin folder. or download the attached file to replace.

It will Work

I had this issue 1 week ago when doing upgrade.

The problem is caused by memory limit set too low from php.ini and the themes do not show at the tab. You need to set the next to .htaccess or if you have access to php.ini change it from there and restart the httpd server in use

set this to .htaccess file:
php_value memory_limit 64M

You dont need to restart server after this change. I set it to 64M, could be more or less. But more than 20M (M = Mb), the tab will give error if you have php errors on from prestashop configuration. My tab took some ~19Mb. If you cant do it, ask your hosting company to increase memory for php configuration. Though this might cost you few bucks.

front page only displays the video tour..nothing else
catalog – i don’t have “stock movement” menu
customers – the” shopping cart” menu is named “carts”
order menu- seems ok
tcurrency – no“tax rules“menu
shipping-ok
stats- ok
modules -i only have ‘positions” the rest are missing
Employees- missing the “customer service”
Prefrerence tab – “seo url” is called only “seo” and “aliases, performance, geolocation” missing
tools – missing “webservice,log”

opened a thread here with my problem http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/102781/upgrading_prestashop/some_bo_menus_submenus_missing_after_update/

  • 1 month later...

I have the same problem with the stable 1.4. and I really can not find out where is the problem.

I am missing the performance tab under preferences and also, I have "SEO" tab under preferences (but it should be named in another way I think...)

Do you have some solutions ?

Thanks.

  1. Backup whole database!
  2. Make fresh installation 1.4.x and export tables: ps_access, ps_tab, ps_tab_lang
  3. Replace these tables in the upgraded database
  4. All problems with tabs will be resolved

Note: if you're using different table prefix, change ps_ with your own prefix

The upgrade script is not tested by PrestaShop team very well.
