Empty img folders and disk space

Hello everyone, I have this problem:

Ive got a store with 25000 products with their images but prestashop has created too many empty folders with only a .php file. There are almost 1gb on this folders that dont have any images nor product with this ID.

for example, in the screenshot attached you can see a folder for an hypotetical product with ID 133100 

 

this folders add up quickly and requires a lot of space.

Any solution to delete all of this at once?

What is the solution for that problem? I have hundreds of folders like these.
