Error occurred while copying the archive to the module directory

Hi, I'm having an issue trying to upload the G Analytics.zip module to my site. I get this error:

Also tried another module (Paypal) and it gave the same error.

I wondered if it may have something to do with not being signed into the 'Addons' store, but when I try to sign in it gives the following error:

Wasn't sure if you needed a separate account for the Addons store so I made a new one. Still couldn't log in.

 

Would be great if anyone knows what might be the issue. Googling the issues only shows unresolved questions from years ago.

Check the access rights of the module directory on your server - you don't need to be logged on to addon store to install modules.
