Move to New Server Front Office Working. BO Not Working

Hi there

I have migrated a PS 1.7.5.2 store to a new localhost server. The front office is working OK and I can navigate from page to page without problems, however when I try to access the back office I get the following message "An exception occured in driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1049] Unknown database 'databasename' "

The details in parameters.php must be correct otherwise the front office would not work, so it is connected to the database OK.

I have deleted the contents of var/cache/dev and var/cache/prod.

It is on a Synology NAS running PHPmyAdmin, Maria 10 and 6GB of memory
