Manufacturer / Main Category in Order Confirmation

Hi all,

I posted this in the German Forum but did not get any answer, so perhaps you could help me.

I want to show the manufacturer name or the main category (main category and manufacturer have the same name) after the product name in the order confirmation mail.
Until now I saw some threads which refer to PS 1.4 - 1.6 and the solutions did not work with main category / manufacturer.

Do you have any experiences how to do this? I tried to add a new variable "$manufacturer" but with now success.

If I add the folliwung to PaymentModule.php there is now value displayed in the order confirmation mail:

'manufacturer' => $product['manufacturer'],

If I do this with the product weight it is successful.

If you could help me this would be very helpful.
