This should be so easy - path to media file

Recommended Posts

I am experimenting with Prestashop on my local machine. SO far so good.

But when I add a product, which is an mp3 file, I go to the product page, short or long description and use the Tiny Editor where there is an option to include a media file.

I can link to a url, to YouTube for example, and insert it, no problem

But I simply cannot find a way to link to a file stored locally, as in the Tiny Editor you cannot browse to a file.

My installation is this.....

c:\xampplite\htdocs\prestashop\music\{the file}

have also tried......

http://localhost/prestashop/music/{the file}

Have tried every permutation, tried with Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Flash, the icon for the media player appears, but no music plays. Sometimes the Quicktime player has a question mark on it, like the one over my head, tells me nothing

I guess it is the file path that is incorrect but am clueless as to why

FIXED - I had created a folder within Prestashop folder called music, so my path is music/{the file}
