Sorting products in higher level categories

Hi everyone

Need a hint regarding sorting products. 🙂

I´ve been sorting all my product's within their respective categories, and it´s working just fine. The problem is that when product's from those (perfectly sorted) categories are displayed in parent categories - the sorting is kinda lost. I get something like this:

Parent
  SubCat4-product8
  SubCat12-product2
  SubCat3-product5
  ...

    SubCat1
        SubCat1-Product1
        SubCat1-Product2

     SubCat2
        SubCat1-Product1
        SubCat1-Product2

     ...

.. while I kinda hoped for ..

Parent
  SubCat1-Product1
  SubCat1-Product2
  SubCat2-Product1
  ...

    SubCat1
        SubCat1-Product1
        SubCat1-Product2

     SubCat2
        SubCat1-Product1
        SubCat1-Product2

     ...

How do I make sorting of product within subcategories propergate up though parent categories?
