How to remove som links in footer?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I found out how to add a bunch of links to the footer in the backdoor office. But there is no option for removing the links (only those link you self adds) that already are there.
Thanks thanks, and again many thanks.

Depends.

If you were adding CMS pages and they are the links shown in footer, then you could edit tools>>CMS

The module "Footer links block v0.1" can help control and determine which links are shown in the footer (default install theme), you can simply tick the ones you want to be displayed in the footer. The only exception is the "powered by Prestashop." If you client insists that needs to be removed you might have to edit the blocksvariouslinks tpl in modules and remove the link as well as any others that are coded directly into the template itself

Also you could add extra links with the other modules that are available for this function and then have that in the footer as well as your footer links block. Then you can change the sites via admin>>modules>>configure as support multi-currency etc on your links, which you will not be able to do with manual coding into the template

I did go to create a CMS page and create new links on my Link block to test my theory, but in tool>>CMS when I went to add a new link, it just asked for me to choose language so something is not quite right in my 1.1 install I guess

Could also try uninstalling footer links block - This should remove all links from footer, including powered by as a test.
