Remove text from button in 1.4

Hi,
This is propebly a very easy problem to fix, although I´m not able to do it.

I have a search block in my left column who has the text "go" over the button, however I want to remove the text and don´t have any text at all asigned to the button.

In prevous versions I just removed the "value" attribute in the search block template file. I´ve done that in this install as well and also tried copied the files in to a new directory in the Theme direcotory(Mytheme/Modules/block_search/).

Does anybody have any solution for this?

Thanks for your answer! I had disabled the smarty cache but that was clearly not enough, but when I deleted everthing that I had in the directory "/tools/smarty/compile/" it worked great!
