Prestashop 1.7.4: Adding new required field in address breaks check out process

Hi,

 I've added new required field to address (phone number - it wasn't required before) and now when user is trying to check out with already saved address the checkout process won't let him/her to next step - but also won't display any warning message - need for updating old address. 

 

Do you have any experience with similar issue?
