mohsart
Yesterday all tabs in the BO dispeared for my 1.2.4 shop.I noticed it after having installed the 1.4 in a subfolder, could that installation have caused this?Any ideas on how to fix it?Edit: More serious problem tham I first thought - The categories and Swedish language (and possibly more) have disapeared as well.A bit more details:Problem is with a shop located in the root (mohsart.se), appeared after I installed 1.4 in a sub folder (mohsart.se/ps1.4), a installation of 1.2.5 in another sub folder (mohsart.se/tea) was not affected. All three use the same db, but with different names (ps_*, test_*, and ps14_*)Edit: I checked the db and the categories are still there, only don't show up in FO.Please help! This is really serious.../Mats
mohsart
I think I've found the error.Something happened with the Swedish language, possibly when I found a error with the naming of language files/ISO code.I used to have Swedish with ISO code "se" when it should be "sv".I solved this by a. changing the ISO code, in BO, to "sv" and b. copying all se.php files and se folders to sv.php and sv.Currently I can see the categories if I change to English, but in BO I cannot do that so I cannot a. see the tabs or b. disable Swedish, which would be a OK workaround until I come up with a solution.Weird thing, though, is that I made this change more than a week ago, and have had no problems until now./Mats
mohsart
Small update:I double checked that the folders and files had the correct permissions (which some did not).I searched the file tree for missed se folders and se.* files (and found some images).I double checked all modules to verify the sv.php files (and found some cases where the sv.php file was incorrect).Still not working though. :´-(/Mats
mohsart
Oh, another thing: Since I switched to English on the front, I cannot verify if anything has started to work there with Swedish.Removal of apropriate cookie would do the trick for that, I think. Anyone knows how to do that?Edit: Found the correct cookie./Mats
mohsart
Since nobody seems to know where to look, could someone please tell me how to hard-code the BO to be in English. Also, can I import export database exports from 1.2.4 into 1.4? How?/Mats
mohsart
I'm not sure how to go on...Since I cannot get the BO to function, I cannot update for example the stock status when I sell things IRL or when the customer pays with PayPal (since there's a bug in that module*, so the stock status isn't updated).Since I don't know how to restore a backup of the DB from 1.2.4 to 1.4, it seems I'd have to start from scratch. Of course I could try to make a new installation of 1.2.4 and restore the DB into that, but would that work? I don't remember seeing a restore option anywhere. When I think of that I just feel like quitting, 1000 or so products with descriptions and pictures.I understand that this is not a official support, but no help whatsoever in this matter has made me a bit turned off about Prestashop as a product, I have got (and have given) a lot of help previously but now that it really matters there is just silence.Sorry for sounding upset, but I'm losing money every day./Mats* Not the PayPal module, but the module that makes it possible to add a fee when customers pay with PayPal
mohsart
I found a workaround today.1. In the database change some of the tabs to language ID: 4 (which used to be Swedish), then these tabs appeared so I could do 22. Add Swedish as a new language3. Change the ID of this "new" Swedish in the database to 4.And voila, I got back the "flags" so that I could change to English and then access all other tabs.Still some huge amount of work to be done, since practically all information in Swedish has disapeared: metadata, product info, category names etc.One weird thing that is of minor importance is that the tabs names in Swedish are gone.Another that English is (and was) default language, but it still shows in Swedish by default (with a Swedish browser, I assume).Would it be possible to restore partial data from a backup so I wouldn't have to manually enter it?Is eg tabs names, CMS info etc stored on the backup?Entering all new products since the last backup and doing a inventory, checking prices etc makes doing a full restore as apalling as entering everything in Swedish manually./Mats
