Vincent Schoener
I made other test with a different PHP version and this occur, rarely, but he does with PHP version older than 5.3.0 ...This depend of the number of file present in the archive, the length of the name directory or file, etc ...It's very special and we are working on it to find a solution quickly. Vincent Schoener
Not you It's not coming from the 'Import / export theme' module, but our Validator server. Don't worry I keep this thread up to date while we work to solve this problem.

Vincent Schoener
Hi,I'm happy to tell you that we solve the problem with the error 'Zip seems to be broken' @Jeet : Can you try again with your theme and give me a feedback ? @thehandlestudio: Normally the upload process depend of your bandwidth connexion, but 15 minutes :/. Which theme did you test ? Can you try again too and come back to tell us if the problem is still present ? I need to update my theme to support 1.4. How can I do that, is there some guidelines? For now, the validator tell you where is the problem but not the information to solve it, but it will soon . Meanwhile, you can use the prestashop theme (1.4) as an example,I Hope this help
Bella
Am I correct in understanding that in order to use the import/export module, you have to have v1.4 PrestaShop installed? If so, that kind of is confusing because the instructions are in the .pdf about how to upgrade to v1.4, and to make sure the theme is compatible *first*... I would like to validate my modified theme before I update, in case it will not be compatible and would cause me problems. I can't even see where to get the import/export theme module? Does anyone know?

Does anyone know? Actually, there isn't any explanation to build by yourself the archive on the website (it will). You can follow these steps to do it:- Put your theme file and folder into a directory named as you want 'mybeautifultheme' for example- Create a 'themes' folder and put the directory you just created into this one ('mybeautifultheme' to follow the example).- Create the archive with your preferred archive manager in zip format. Now you can submit your archive to the validator
Bella
Vincent, thank you so much for your explanation, that was very helpful! I can definitely do that
BWT
If your having trouble with the import/export theme it may also be because you don't have the config.xml file loaded inside the zipped folder which tells version 1.4 how to set it up via the theme installer the config file also has all other settings in it such as the modules for that theme. alprmtlu
Hi guys, My PS version is 1.4.2.5 and I'm using Prestashop 1.4 Alternative theme. I'm in trouble with adapting my theme to Smarty 3. I want this coz I want to use CCC compression feature. I can here that you say "your theme is already compatible with smarty 3!" When I first time dig into PS, I knew nothing about it. I didn't even know there was a module "Theme Installer" and I installed the theme old school style (copy-paste into themes folder) and selected Smarty 2 option in preferences tab. Since then I've made many changes in the theme. Now, for obvious reasons, I must modify my theme for Smarty 3. Is there any way for me to do that? Thanks.
