Image aspect ratio problem

In setting up the images I find that Prestashop uses as a standard equal height and width for its images.

However what I am finding displayed on my flat screen are a very rectangular images (width longer than height).

Do I change Prestashop config to make them the same aspect ratio as my screen.

But what does everyone else see the images as ??

If the aspect ratio of most screens is the same as mine then the default PS image sizes should be changed.

Any help plz
