The Hipay plugin doesn't want to work - can't retrieve categories

Heya

I'm not sure what I did wrong here, but Hipay isn't appearing in the shop's payment options and in the admin area I get this error:

OpenSSL is not enabled

Hipay categories not set for every Site ID

Impossible to retrieve Hipay categories. Please refer to your error log for more details.


However apparently the server does have mod_ssl for Apache which contains OpenSSL, and I do have an SSL cert.

Also, I came across this thread: HiPay error after updating to 1.3.6.0

and did the change myself but it did nothing.

It's a shame of course as this is an official, built-in Prestashop module (and an important one too!) so.. does it really not work, or is it just me with this problem?

I have answered here to what may be the most common problem with HiPay not working with loading categories in Prestashop.

In your case it seems like you had a php.ini somehwere that is gone after the update.

 

If my post doesn't work, you may want to try connecting to the SVN with an SVN client and collect the version in tags > your versions number > modules > hipay

or different versions.

 

But really, I think your problem comes from allow_url_fopen as described in the post I did , link above.
