why logo in png is turned in jpg from ps 1.7 ?

hi i've got a new issue with ps 1.7.5.1

i upload a logo in png but prestashop turn it in jpg losing quality why?

How to fix this issue? In backoffice under display images setting png is selected if image is png

i thought about that but prestashop change by itself from png to jpg so if i upload a png it does not appear in frontend because ps search for a jpg file not a png

Just upload the image and rename the extension to jpg. The browser render the image content even if file extension does not match to file content.

but if i upload a png with tranparence background when i rename in jpg it lost transparence

Of course not, even PrestaShop change the .png extension to .jpg automatically in the products images.

ok thank you i will give i try to it, maybe when i done it i make some error because when i added the .png logo by ftp prestashop in my case loaded it without transparence.
