Pay Pal major issue - can anyone help?

I have completed the site for client. After waiting awhile for the paypal acct info, I was able to plug it in. Immediately this is what I got. Can anyone help?

I saw similar error was reported in different threads. I seems related to cURL.
There are fixes posted on following thread for Paypal standard (not API) version, please check it if you could find any solutions there.

Hello - I have seen this error when the sandbox account is turned on but the information for the live account is left in the settings or vice versa. Make sure that you have the correct paypal business email address & API information for either the sandbox or live account.

Hi all,

 

"Security header is not valid" always means that your credentials are incorrect or that you're using sandbox credentials with production mode (or production credentials with sandbox mode).

 

Be sure using last version of the module (2.6). If you have to update it, do not forget to uninstall and reinstall the module.

If I update my prestashop to the newest version, do I have to completely recustomize it again and set it up like I did at the beginning?

If you have made any customization to the module, it is better that you backup your customized module first.

Then restore it to your new store and then reconfigure it. Usually it should be working.

 

It depends on from which version are from upgraded from. It is very low like 1.1x or 1.2x, I might be a little problem because the change is bigger.

I am upgrading from PrestaShop™ 1.4.4.1. Is there that big of a difference, and if so, what are the major updates? I have customized everything (not just modules) so would have to update individual pages (if that is possible). Any advice?

My current version is Prestashop 1.4.4.1.

Sorry I misread, I read that you wanted to update to 1.4.4.1

There were a lot of bug fixed between 1.4.4.1 and 1.4.6

But if you did not encouter any of these bugs, you don't need to upgrade (it means you don't use the part of PrestaShop where there were some bug). My advise, wait 1.5 to update.

Thanks for your advice. What bugs were there fixed in the new one? I am having a big problem with paypal, not sure if that is me or the module (see this post http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/144858-invalid-security-certificate-message/ - any help is appreciated with that issue). So not sure if there is something in the newer version that would help with this or not. I just upgraded my paypal module to the new version.

This is not a PayPal issue, it will not be fix with a PrestaShop update.

Ask your hosting provider for help.
