Is it possible to have a features group?

Is it possible to have a features configured like a group, like an attribute group?
I need to have multiple value (like colors: red, blue, green) under features, or in another way different from attribute, because I want to use these only for filter criteria and not for "product attribute definition". So the user don't have to use these criteria to define the attributes of product.
