Main menu - the beginner

Hi everyone, I am totally starting with prestashop. I would like to start with creating a main menu, to put there more columms and change the names. The training guide doesnt work and I am lost. Can anybody help me with the begining? Thank you very much ( I know that here are usually more improved disscusions, but I was trying to make it on my own and I am still not succesfull), Kateřina

And welcome to the forum. You need to share first bit more info, before we can help.

What version of PrestaShop are you using, do you have custom theme or custom module for menu ?

 

For example if you have latest 1.7.5.1 and default theme and default Main menu module you can add items in few ways

First 3 existing items in menu are categories which are connected to items on right. You can Remove  from left side or Add from right.

It item is category it will display auto all sub categories on front.  When you add new category  in Catalog > Categories that one will later be displayed in

right list of menu module. If you want to change name, well for that you need to change name of category in Catalog > Categories

 

On right side you can select existing CMS page , manufacturer, brand or single product. Also in section below left/right block you can add custom link,

like for Contact us page or  Blog or maybe link outside of your shop.

Sorry, I forgot, I have prestashop 1.7., I bought theme and somebody installed it for me (paid installator) and now I started to create it on my own, hopefully I will manage it. I am trying to create e-shop for a small NGO (link for our e-shop): http://www.krameknaruby.cz/. Are such a great tips - guiding, which you did for me written somewhere?

Or can I ask here often?

I check your theme is Raloza from Pos-themes

it says it comes with documentation but you probably can not find it.

 

I saw their other documentation, for older version but it looks similar to default module and what I have said.

Again older version so it does not look the same but function is not changed.
