MAC87
Hi All, I have am trying to setup the SMTP email in Advanced Parameters > Email but i get the attached error when send a test email. What does this error mean? Can anyone suggest a possible fix please for me to try? The Credentials are 100% correct so it can't be that and the SMTP setting are copied from the Microsoft site and confirmed to be correct by our IT Team. Any suggestion, however small, would be greatly appreciated. Version - I am using Prestashop 1.7.4.2. Thank you. MAC87
Thank you for the reply. It is possible but i have selected the correct port and encryption method from the list provided. What does this error mean? I maybe then able to narrow down the cause. I have tested this with my personal Gmail account and i get the same error. ps2k11
check the setting on your site host. I had a similar problem, it turned out to be a setting on host account godaddy. Once I changed the setting on host side solved the problem
MAC87
Can you remember what setting it was that you amended? I can then sift through the options on my backend to see if this or similar setting is available.
ps2k11
Stopped using office 365, that was 2 years ago, I don't remember the exact setting. All I can remember it was a change in the dns setting, it was still set up to use PHP, once I switched to smtp it solved the problem I think I had to change the cname to outlook

NextOne
I think, I have greater solution. You can use option 1 but you must auto create password. Go to office365 center > account > choose account > reset password > auto create password I spend on this 1 week but it's work. Office 365 require strong password.
