El Patron
One should only upgrade for a 'reason' and not just because an upgrade is available. Does it have new features you want, etc. Autoupgrade works great when done properly. but the advice here not given is don't upgrade just because you see prompt to do so, have a valid reason.
Tribaljbc
thank you guys for the input and feedback - @El Patron i was looking to upgrade because we're running version 1.5.6.1 and the latest is 1.6.1 - that coupled with the fact that we see this when we login - what does this error indicate? Why? previous to 1.7 CCC of .js and .css created one file by 'page type', so during visitor landing to checkout each CCC page type would have to be sent to browser....in 1.7 there is only one each CCC of .js anc .css...so post initial visit, the assets are already on visitor browser for subsequent pages, zoom zoom... ----this feedback without 'hands' on access.... ----I do not recommend upgrade to 1.6, at all. unless you need warehouse management, you should upgrade to latest 1.7 stable. note: all 3rd party modules/themes etc you currently have are not compatible with either 1.6/1.7....1.7 is MUCH better than 1.7...
