PS 1.7.4 ps_mainmenu Menu Item Restricted Group Access

Hello

We are using PS ver 1.7.4.2.

We have the default "Customer" group, and the "Visitor/Guest" group.

Customer belonging to the "Customer" group can log in to browse and shop all the categories.  We are hiding the categories until they log in to be able to see the categories and items.
I followed the instructions here, https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/issues/9924 (ps_mainmenu showing items where items excluded with group access)

But after log in, it gives me an "Array string conversion error (please see attached pic).

Please help, I am new the PS and the technology used (PHP, TPL etc), am not sure what to do.

Hello, following the instructions here, https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/issues/9924, [BOOM-3633] ps_mainmenu, showing items where items excluded with group access #9924.

I made changes to the 2 files mentioned.

ps_mainmenu.php and CategoryController.php.

Before loggin in, the home page looks normal.

As soon as I logged in, thats when it gives me the Array To String Conversion error.

Please help.  Thank you.
