How can i edit or replace the shopping cart summary template from my own module?

I am developing a module and I need to modify or change the template of the cart summary from my module but i can't see how i can do it. Any ideas?

You have to modify the template for cart

Or override the ajax function and return your own template

I'm new in Prestashop. Can you detail a bit more your explanation or point me a tutorial that could help me understanding step by step what I have to do?

I need to add extra information after each product in the cart summary. I need to do it via a module because the information must be configurable in the module's configuration.
