Error upgrading from v1.6 to v1.7.5.0 - error on line 667 at column 1: Extra content at the end of the document

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I followed the steps set out here:

https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/basics/keeping-up-to-date/upgrade/

I've got to the point where I have to run "http://<shop_domain>/install/upgrade/upgrade.php"  (I don't have access to run script in cPanel so doing via web browser), so I've tried this twice now and both times I get a long error message which begins:

This page contains the following errors:
error on line 667 at column 1: Extra content at the end of the document
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

I've attached a .txt of the complete error. I've tried with both the http and https but still the same result, what should I try next?

I'm also not able to view my FO, I get a HTTP ERROR 500 message, but I can access the BO after renaming the "install" folder. Would like to ge tthis resolved soon so I don't miss the post Christmas spending :)

Kind Regards,

CWB

why are you not using the autoupgrade module?  the manual method is really for expert use only and we are experts and have never used that method.  Can you restore our production shop (you have backup)....if so then create a test copy of your shop to perform upgrade first before doing it to your live shop.

@El Patron I've sent you guys a message via the contact form on your site.

I've managed to upgrade using the 1-Click, but had an issue where the little loading arrows on the main BO screen just keep spinning, do enabled debugging but now get a load of errors on different BO pages  like:

Whoops, looks like something went wrong.

However this directory doesn't exist when I check in cPanel?

Cheers,

CWB
