PS_Dude
Hi, I've got PS 1.5.6.2 and want to add payment processing (Paypal and CC through paypal). Is there a guide or video that explains this thoroughly? The documentation I found points to PS v1.7 and I expect there'll be differences. Also, will the Paypal module v 1.3.9 work properly with my PS v1.5.6.2? Upgrading PS is not a good option as I have significant custom code, and I can't find the developer currently. Thanks. ecommerce16
The official module for paypal is already version 3.12.0 and works from 1.5.0.0 to 1.7.5.0: https://addons.prestashop.com/nl/creditcardbetaling-walletbetaling/1748-officiele-paypal.html I only think you will be facing security issues since the PS version you use is not supported. Maybe its an idea to do your payments with a third party so all your payments go through a secured portal. Also your website should be secured by https which is obligated for webshops
PS_Dude
Thanks Curious. I was not aware of that module, as the one I saw under the modules section of my admin page was 1.3.9. You're saying that my PS version is not supported by who? And why would there be a security issue? Is there some known security issue with 1.5.6.2? Yes I will have SSL. Thanks.. El Patron
create a test copy of your shop so you can test adding modules/features. as for support/security....that is really not an issue in my opinion, 1.5 has not been supported by PS for some time... so with test copy you can with confidence try modules and other changes before taking them live.
