Ingomar
Hi guys, We made a module that allows your customers to change their password in an easy way. The customer will receive a link by email. After clicking on this link, they can change their password to a password they will remember. This module is compatible with PrestaShop 1.6 and the latest version of PrestaShop 1.7 (the only PrestaShop 1.7 password recovery module available). DEMO FRONT OFFICE 1.6 DEMO FRONT OFFICE 1.7 You can find the module on the Official PrestaShop Addons Marketplace. Benefits - No password is sent by mail. This is more secure than the standard PrestaShop way. - Customers will remember their password better when they have created the password themselves. - This process is also much faster. The customer only has to wait for 1 email to reset the password. After this, they can change it to something they can remember. After this, they can log in again. - Normally, PrestaShop sends an email with a new password. Your customers have to change this to a password they can remember for the next time. This is an extra step which isn’t necessary - No configuration is needed. Let me know what you think! muynck
Looks like a functionality that should have been in PrestaShop already. Still can't believe that passwords are send by mail by default.. even in PS17. Does it need overrides?

Yeah, unfortunately we haven't been able to make this module without overrides... so there is a PasswordController override.
