PayPal & Braintree official Module - what gives?

I figured this would be a walk in the park - activating an official prestashop module, specifically  the PayPal & Braintree official Module.

Am I missing something - do I need to register with Braintree to get the Paypal aspect working? (& if I do, are Braintree skimming a percentage when someone pays via Paypal?)

The installation instructions are a bit scant..

  1. Download the module and activate it in the Prestashop back-office. PayPal is pre-installed and ready to use!

 

  2. Add your PayPal account or open one in no time through an onboarding process optimised with Prestashop.

 

  3. Add your bank account to your PayPal account and start receiving payments! 

 

In the back office there is almost no config (no where to enter keys)
