[Solved (by work around)] Cart Block upgrade from 1.3.7 to 1.4 displays "Prices are Tax Included"

Recommended Posts

I converted a shop running 1.3.7 to 1.4.0.14 to get ready for the final stable release. My shop does not use taxes (disabled in BO). The 1.3.7 cart block has no reference to taxes. The 1.4.0.14 cart block displays "Prices are Tax Included", even though taxes are not enabled in the BO.

How do I turn that line off in 1.4.0.14?

Have you tried finding it in the Tools > Translations > (Language) > Find.. "shopping-cart" expressions and putting a blank space in the Total field(s)? Otherwise, I suggest doing a search in your blockcart folder for the text you're wanting to remove, and do so manually in the code. Though keep in mind if you ever update, this would have to be included or un-updated. I hope this helps, at least moreso than the previous responses (geez, some people) :)

Yeah, as I've come to notice...Presta can be very intuitive but there are cases where you really have to dig deep, look in unlikely places, or just get in the code and make it work for yourself! Glad it helped, you can mark this sucker solved :D

Cheers mate

I had a solution, editing the blockcart.tpl, but it only works on 1.3, does not work on 1.4 and when I tried to delete what I wrote, it wouldn't let me delete the reply or leave the message blank, so I left the frowny face. Sorry. (I'm sure there IS way to delete it, but I'm very new here, and I couldn't find it )

My apologies, Bewitching..and you're right..I myself had to make direct revisions to the smarty code to solve certain issues. Luckily, there are ways to mess with the translations in the back office to compensate for certain verbage in the front end.

trenthanover,
This topic is about "Prices are Tax Included” . It is not about "Prices are not included in the shopping cart" as you mentioned in your post.
You should look for again in the search forum to hopefully find an answer to your question.
Good luck.
