Few problems im a complete newbie

Hi everyone,

excuse my questions as i am a complete and utter newbie. I am at the final stages of creating my shop but starting to pull my hair now so wondering if you could help me on a few points.

1. I am using black and white theme but i also want to add a description on my home page, i see there a module in the admin panel called "home text editor" however when i enter the details the details are nowhere to be seen.

2. I am trying to get a piece of javascript working on a CMS page, so i clicked on HTML part and just copied and paste, although the tables are there when i click on it, it seems the javascript doesnt work?

3. i went to add a facebook like button that i saw on the facebook page. Now i am a complete newbie on this part and i dont really know how to put it at the bottom of my page, i tried this and because it is on css it just went in places i didnt want it to go.

im really stuck on these points, if you could help that would mean so much

Complete newbie here as well. am trying out Prestashop for the first time and black white theme also.
All I found out for you is:
1) if you take out the “home text editor” module then the slide show doesn't appear
2) entering text in "home text editor" module has no affect
