"On sale" ribbon shown when I want, without conditions

Hello everyone

I'm always using Prestashop 1.6 in catalog mode because I don't sell, just want to show products without prices and would like to show/use the "on sale" ribbon on my request. The problem is when I hide prices or activate the catalog mode, it disappears on home and product list!! Only shown on the product page.

 I checked some post talking about this ribbon but no one about this desire.

Are there any way to show it without conditions please 🙏🙏? Many thanks
