Rita
Hello, I need your help. I'm developing a website in prestashop but what happens is that the platform itself is creating several core.NNN files by itself which leads to running out of space on the server and so the site goes offline. Can you tell me how to solve the problem? Or with whom I have to speak to help me solve this situation? Thank you in advance!
razaro
Hi and welcome to the forum. That seams really odd, I do not think PrestaShop does not create those files. Can you give more info. Like what version of PrestaShop you are using, where those files are created (in what folder). On what type of hosting you are and do you have WordPress installed there also ? Also have you tried to open those files in text editor?
Rita
Hi, thanks for the reply. I also find it very strange, but in fact it is happening. The version of pestashop is 1.7.3.3 is creating these files inside root / adminNNNNNNN / and I do not have wordpress installed, just prestahop. Yes, I already tried. I could not understand what it was.

razaro
OK those are big files so those are core dumps https://www.siteground.com/kb/core-xxxxx-files/ and you can check what script is generating those dumps, there could be some problem that you should know https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/what-is/what-are-core-dumps Check with you hosting and also maybe ask after to disable core dumps compleatly https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37670_01/E36387/html/ol_discdp_sec.html Good luck with that and hope hosting can help a bit.
