[SOLVED] PHP Email problem : status is sent but never received

Hi,

Have problem setting up my email. I did try using

1. Php email : when click test - results showing the mail is sent. But never received.
2. Smtp : try add detail as given by host provider = smtp server : mail.mydomain.com
smtp user : [email protected]
password : try put and leave it blank (both didnt work)
Encryption : TLS
Port :587
When click test send email : it just stalled there ..the waiting button keep spinning and never stop.

Please advise.

does your server supports php mail function? if you can still use an external smtp server for sending emails.
alternatively you can use this module (it costs a tiny 10$) for tracking all the emails http://www.ecommy.com/products/email-logs-prestashop-p-33.html

yes, it does support php email. I did install ps ver 1.3.1 and also 1.4 on the same server and it works. But when i install ps version 1.3.6 (because the themes only for 1.3.6) then it didnt. I just dont know what to do anymore..

I verified and I confirm the problem however I need ftp access to debug - the admin access is not needed for this problem

I checked, made some tests and it seems something is wrong with the email server as even the php reports the email was sent I don't receive anything.

this problem is independent of prestashop, you should also check the mail server / what your hosting company said?
