CrystalPhoenix18
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. I have done several searches and can't find an answer. I am very new to e-commerce, and I'm trying to set up an online presence for a bricks and mortar shop. I have done some development on my personal computer using XAMPP and have made some changes to a free template's CSS in Dreamweaver and changed modules through Prestashop's back office. When I try to place a test order to see if the taxes work properly, Prestashop will not go past the customer login, and no customer info shows up in the Customer Account area. Is it possible to place test orders on my local machine or must it be uploaded to a "real" server? If it is possible, what could be preventing me from logging in as a customer? Also, when I do upload the site to my remote server, I cannot seem to make a connection to the database, and get a "site is currently unavailable" error message.Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed. Don Camillo
I think you need it on a real server to work. I tried emailing myself on a local server and that didnt work also. Cheers, Don
