JqZoom problems

I recently enabled Jqzoom instead of just thickbox on my prestashop store I am setting up - I see why maybe it is off by default.

In Chrome, the cursor is too far left when you start, so you can't move it to see the whole image.
In Fire Fox and IE 8, it is almost a similar problem, except it the zoomed image doesn't move horizontally at all, just vertically.

Looked at the .js and .css files, wasn't sure what I could change to possibly fix that.

Any ideas?

Also I saw when I was searching on this subject, Prestashop doesn't use the latest JqZoom. There was talk of possibly trying to install the updated version. Has anyone had any success with this, without screwing up prestashop?

If I can get the above working, I would also like to zoom in more on the image. I see how to make the zoom box larger, but I would like to see a closer up zoom. Is there a value I can change for that, or is that related to uploaded large image size?
