adding products with attributes to the cart

Hi,

I've been installing and integrating prestashop for a photography site I've been working on. I've added different size attributes for some products on this site these sizes increase the price. However when I add a product with an attribute to the cart and chose an attribute that should alter the price all that seems to happen is that the default attribute is added to the cart along with the default price.
