Jimbo50
I am trying to add some (!!) product combinations to my site but it seems to overload somewhat. I read somewhere from a 2008 post about there being a limitation of 10,000 or so combinations before meltdown, any changes since then? I am using PC 1.3.6.0 and I am a user not a designer so please be gentle with the technicalities. What I am selling is Highlandwear Products, as individual products it is not a problem but when I put it together as a package it all seems to melt down. When inputting combinations I require the following:Shoe Size: 19 sizesKilt Waist Measurement: 37 sizesKilt Seat Measurement: 37 sizesKilt Length Measurement: 13 sizesShirt Size: 12 sizesShirt Colour: 2Jacket Size: 10Sleeve Length: ShortSleeve Length: RegularSleeve Length: LongJkt Colour: 3Tartan Choice: 750 ApproxWithout putting in the Kilt Sizes and Tartan Choices it generated 20,000 plus combinations and then freezes, so with the other two sets of sizes in I shudder to think how many combinations there would be.What I would like to know is it is possible to isolate the combinations by let’s say sets, e.g. 1. Jkt size, colour and sleeve lengths, 2. Shoe size only, 3. Shirt size only etc. At the moment if I try this I receive a message; “Availability: The product does not exist in this model. Please choose another.”If this does not work then it is back to the drawing board.

Jimbo50
Tomerg,Many thanks for your reply. This module looks as if it may do the job, I have a couple of questions however:Bearing in mind that I am not technical, someone else set up my site and I am just populating it, how easy is it to instal module? Do I need access to the back end to complete installation? This is from a previous post on 16 Feb titled "Drop Down Boxes" I have had no reply to this subject yet;"I am using a drop-down box to allow for the selection of a tartan for a kilt purchase. The problem I have is that the box only shows 9 characters of the name and I need on average approx 20 in the description and some of the clan names are longer. Is there any way that the drop-down box can be made wider or a rollover of the names would show in full?I would be grateful for any help with this problem"Would the Attribute Wizard Pro allow for bigger names in the drop down?I look forward to your reply. tomerg3
There is a backend demo for the module (details are in the first post), you can go there, enter the configuration page which explains how to install the module, and how to add new combinations to products. You can create a new product there and set it up as you would on your site, and see how it works. Jimbo50
Tommerg3The Wizard Pro certainly looks as if it could do the job for me. I have only just got to grips with the PS Combinations Generator after a lot of trial and error, what I would like to know is this, is there a comprehensive set of instructions with the Wizard Pro?The instruction from your demo mode I found a little hard to follow, bear in mind that I am not a techie please! Do I need to get into the back end of PS at all?Any help or assistance would be appreciated.
tomerg3
Did you go to the backend demo and to the configuration page of the module? There are instructions there with examples, and you can also go the the combination tab of the demo products to see how they are configured.Email me if you have any other questions.
